Tutoring Approach It is not only the tutor's job to teach a certain subject, but also to build confidence in that subject. I encourage students to grasp a detailed knowledge of any basic mathematical and economic skills (ensuring all pre-requisite knowledge and skills are of standard). Once core skills are achieved, students can pick up most concepts quickly. I try to adapt learning methods to individual students, taking into account other subjects and how the student learns. It is also imperative that students learn to think for themselves, and I encourage students to work logically and methodically leaving less room for error, and students can then correct their own work if necessary, becoming more independent. All this builds up enough confidence in a student to sit an exam and pass with ease. When tutoring, I encourage students to engage fully in the sessions, and I'm more than willing to go above and beyond to ensure any uncertainties a student has are cleared up.
