I have 10 years experience in finance and accounting from the very basic to senior management across industries including; Engineering, Advertising and Marketing, Consulting, Public Sector, Financial Services and Banking. This has enabled me to teach using real life, practical examples.
I've been teaching/life coaching teenagers and adults from minority background on a voluntary basis for past 2 years and have built up my experience of tutoring via this method. |
| Tutoring Approach: |
My approach is to be very hands on and practical. Early stages of study sessions will be to built on fundamentals of Accountancy and Business Management and use 'real life' examples to help students understand how these topics are relevant.
I will also take student through technical models and theories, which are used by Accountancy and Business Management educational and professiona bodies (always being relevant to the students curriculum).
Upon progression, my aim is to provide students with case studies (basic to advanced) on real events, industries and scenarios enabling the student to fully understand and appreciate how finance and accountancy works in the real world. For example, the role of Corporate Governance say in the Enron/Worldcom scandal. In addition to this, i will also teach and coach communication skills, such as presentation skills, business email writing, etc. |
